WPS Community Children’s Garden

Garden Club was unable to run this week, as our fabulous group of dedicated parent volunteers were all busy, therefore more helpers are needed.

We all love that our school has a veggie garden, providing a space for our children to learn and be active outdoors, however, the garden program cannot run without volunteers. I design and teach the gardening program, and there are many super keen students jumping at the opportunity to help-out in the garden, but I need more adults to help supervise the children for the program to run.

All that’s required is 1 hour of your time over lunch on a Monday – a rewarding and fun escape from the screen while working from home. Come along as a once off, once per month or more frequent helper – any time commitment that works for you. Volunteers also get to take home as much garden produce as they can carry, as a thank you for their help.

It only takes 20 mins and is an interesting activity to do with your kids while sitting in your back yard or on a trip to the local park.
