Learning in Year 2

English 

In English, we have been working hard on developing our persuasive writing skills by sharing our opinions and using strong modality to help stress our points and convince our readers. We are also continuing to focus on using full stops and capital letters correctly in our writing to help make our sentences clear and complete.

Mathematics

In Mathematics, we have loved the hands-on experiences while learning about measurement. We have explored mass, capacity, and length by using scales, measuring cups, rulers, and measuring tapes to measure objects around us. We have also begun looking at addition and the different strategies we can use to solve addition problems confidently.

Integrated

In Integrated Studies, we have enjoyed exploring weather and the appropriate clothing to wear for different types of weather. We have learnt about various weather conditions and enjoyed conducting an experiment showing a rainbow rain cloud to demonstrate how rain forms. We are looking forward to our excursion to Scienceworks to further explore our weather unit.
