Showcasing Our Foundation Students in Music! 

Fun Fridays for our Foundation students!  

Fridays are quickly shaping up to being my favourite day of the week – not because of the closely approaching weekend but because of the FANTASTIC FUN our FOUNDATION students get to have each week. In Performing Arts this term our Prep students have been exploring some key musical elements such as beat and rhythm through song and dance. Students have enjoyed moving to music, clapping along to steady beats and learning simple dances that help them feel and follow rhythm. 

Recently, we have been exploring sounds and beats through hands‑on musical play. Using a variety of percussion instruments such as tambourines, maracas and bells, our students have been learning how different sounds are made and how rhythm can be created. Through clapping, shaking and tapping along to simple beats, we are developing our listening skills, coordination and confidence, all while having lots of fun!
