Year 2 Highlight

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to share that our Year 2 students have had a fantastic start to the school year! It has been wonderful to see how quickly they have settled into their new routines and embraced classroom life with enthusiasm and positivity.

Over the past few weeks, we have spent time building a strong classroom community through a range of “getting to know you” activities. The students have enjoyed sharing about themselves, learning about their classmates, and participating in team-building games that encourage kindness, cooperation, and confidence. It has been lovely to see new friendships forming and everyone supporting one another.

As part of our Religious Education learning, students participated in our school’s observance of Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. During this time, we reflected on Jesus’ journey and the meaning of Lent. The children engaged thoughtfully in discussions and shared some beautiful insights.

Students responded to their reflections through a variety of creative art experiences. Through drawing, painting, and mixed-media activities, they expressed their understanding of Jesus’ journey in thoughtful and meaningful ways. We were so proud of the care and respect they showed during these learning moments.

It has truly been a joyful and productive beginning to the year. We look forward to all the exciting learning experiences still to come!
