Year 1 Highlight

This term, students have been learning how to write recounts. This involves participating in an experience and then writing about it.

We have been focusing on writing high-quality sentences and thinking about what good writers do. This includes using capital letters, full stops, exciting adjectives, and finger spaces.

Through this process, students have built on their knowledge and confidence, adding more detail and extending their sentences.

Some of the experiences students have participated in include science experiments, such as Mentos in Coke, pancake making, and nature walks.
