Grade 1 News

Hello Grade One families, 

Wow- we can’t believe we have had one whole term of learning with your children! As we come to the end of the term, we would like to thank you for all the extra reading support happening at home. It truly makes a difference to your child’s learning and confidence.

Over the past two weeks, Grade 1 students have been very busy and engaged in their learning. In Mathematics, we have been focusing on addition and subtraction, and exploring how partitioning helps us solve problems more effectively.

In Literacy, we are continuing to grow our tricky word tree and have been learning about nouns and proper nouns. It has been wonderful to see students applying these skills in their reading and writing.

In Religion, we have been exploring The Easter Story and reflecting on its meaning. 

We wish all our families a wonderful, safe, and joyous Easter. We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for Term 2.
