Open Girls Basketball Gala Day

The Open Girls Basketball Gala Day, held on 18 March 2026, showcased an exciting day of competition, teamwork and sportsmanship between Leeton, Tumut, Narrandera and RAP.

The day began with Tumut defeating Leeton in a strong opening performance, finishing 59–16, and Narrandera taking to the court against RAP, displaying exceptional skill and teamwork to secure a dominant 84–12 victory. 

In the following matches, Leeton bounced back with a hard-fought win over RAP, 33–26, and Narrandera continued their impressive form overcoming Tumut with a convincing 47–15 win. 

In the final round for the day, Tumut defeated RAP 61–11, and Narrandera faced Leeton in the local derby, where the girls capped off a dominant performance with a 67–9 victory.

Across the day, all girls from Narrandera played exceptionally well, demonstrating outstanding teamwork, skill and sportsmanship in every match. Their consistent performances saw them finish as overall winners of the gala day.

As a result of their success, Narrandera now progress to the next round of the CHS Open Girls Basketball State Knockout, which will be held in Narrandera, Week 3 Term 2.
