Harmony Week at NHS

Vibrant & Meaningful
Harmony Week at NHS was a vibrant and meaningful celebration of diversity, inclusion, and community.
Throughout the week, students and staff came together to recognise and appreciate the many cultures that make up our school. Each morning assembly featured guest speakers who shared their stories, experiences, and perspectives, helping to inspire understanding and connection across our school community.
There was a wonderful sense of fun and unity with daily dress-up themes, and it was fantastic to see so many staff enthusiastically joining in. A highlight of the week was our “Everyone Belongs” photo frame, which captured countless smiling faces and special moments that truly reflected the spirit of the week.
Staff also enjoyed a shared cultural lunch, bringing along delicious dishes from a variety of countries. It was a beautiful way to connect, learn, and celebrate through food.
The atmosphere across the school all week was warm, welcoming, and inclusive.
Harmony Week at NHS was a true reminder that everyone belongs. 💛

Anti-Racism Pledges
As part of Narrandera High School's celebration of Harmony Week and the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, students and staff at Narrandera High School wrote personal Anti-Racism Pledges. These pledges prompted students to share their own thoughts and feelings, describing what they think of racism. They identified actions they can take if they experience or witness racism, and explained what they can do to help prevent racism. It has been so heartwarming to see our students show their commitment to an inclusive and supportive school community.
