Food Technology Term 1

We have been busy in the Kitchen!

Narrandera High School Food Technology students have had a busy and creative term in the school kitchen. 

 

Year 7 TM has had a great introduction to preparing and cooking recipes that use egg as a main ingredient. Dishes prepared include Noodle Omelette, cheeseburgers, 100’s and 1000’s biscuits and Chocolate Slice.

9FT and 10FT have applied their knowledge and understanding about nutritional needs of different stages of the lifecycle and food choices and the effect on health, when preparing recipes. These include San Choy Bow, Chinese Beef Stir Fry, Rice Paper rolls, Gluten-free chocolate muffins and Mexican Taco Bowls.

Stage 6 FT has had an extremely busy term in the school kitchen – and have impressed Mrs Mclay with their organisation and diligence when completing restaurant worthy dishes when working on their practical component of assessments tasks. Some of these dishes include- Homemade pumpkin and ricotta agnolotti, homemade wonton wrappers for pork dumplings, chocolate chip biscuits, French toast, sponge cake, cous cous salad and homemade focaccia bread. We look forward to seeing and tasting more delicious food from Stage 6 Food Tech during their HSC Food Technology studies!!!
