A Day in Early Years

Our Prep students recently visited Estia Health aged care facility in Keysborough, where they spent time building meaningful connections with the residents. Through activities such as colouring, puzzles, and ball games, the students brought joy and companionship to those they met.
These visits provide valuable opportunities for our students to learn about the wider community while encouraging them to share God’s love through kindness, conversation, and care for others. It was wonderful to see so many smiles as the students connected with residents through heartfelt conversations about family, interests, and life experiences.
We are grateful for the warm welcome from the residents and staff and look forward to visiting again later this term.

Early Years Tooth Tales Incursion
On Wednesday 1 April, the Prep to Year 2 students had a visit from Dr Bethany, a dental nurse, and her puppet friend, Darcy. Dr Bethany taught us many things about our teeth. She showed us how to take care of them by brushing twice daily and flossing. Dr Bethany read us a story, and we danced, sang, and even watched a science experiment that showed what happens when we eat too much sugar. It was very interesting.
Our favourite part was getting to dress up as dentists and floss Darcy’s teeth. It was lots of fun learning with Dr Bethany!
