Overseas Schoolbox Access

A security dongle will be required to access Schoolbox while overseas. The dongle is available for hire through the College. Please organise the dongle before your departure. A one-week’s notice (minimum) is required to set up a security dongle for your use. The security dongle requires a $100 bond to be paid at the office. This will be refunded when the dongle is returned.

Steps to hire a security dongle:

Step one:          Request a security dongle be set up for your use. You can email the office.

Step two:         Pay the $100 bond.

Step three:      Your dongle can be collected from the office after 1 week.

Step four:        Return the dongle to the College office upon your return and receive the $100 refund.

Safe Driving around the College

As part of our commitment to student safety, we would like to remind the College community of a few safe driving requirements.

Exiting the College via Kingston Road

If you are leaving the College via Kingston Road, please avoid turning right between:

  • 8:00am – 9:30am

  • 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Turning right during these times can lead to traffic build up in the car park, which makes it harder to see students and increases the risk of accidents. It also raises the chances of a collision on Kingston Road itself.

Instead, we ask that you turn left and use the Dingley bypass if you need to head to Boundary, Clayton or Heatherton Roads. We understand that this might add a few minutes to your travel time, however it is the much safer option.

Please also note that U-turns are not permitted at the concrete works or when exiting from Old Boundary Road.

Parking on Old Boundary Road

If you park on Old Boundary Road, please don’t park in the ‘Bus Parking’ zone. This area is clearly signed along the fence and needs to stay clear so buses can safely pull in and students can get off safely, especially when excursions return at the end of the day.

Thank you for your support in helping to ensure our students' safety.

Personal Details

We would like to remind families that if your circumstances change in any way - this includes address, phone numbers, email address, etc - please update your Trustloop profiles and then contact the College as soon as possible, so the new infomation can also be passed on to the relevant departments. This will assist us in ensuring that any communications sent reach you.  Please feel free to email any updates to kingston@christway.vic.edu.au

Late Arrival

School commences at 8.45am, not 9.00am. We encourage all students to arrive on time so they can begin the day calmly and be fully prepared for learning.

Students who arrive after 8.45am must obtain a late arrival slip by signing in at the Compass Kiosk in the College office.

Early Primary (Prep to Grade 2) parents are required to sign in their children at the kiosk when dropping them off after 8.45am.

Early Pick-Up Procedure

Early pick up can disturb learning. If an early collection is necessary, the procedure is as follow:

  1. It must be arranged in advance via email to the teacher and the College office, including the date and time.
  2. All early pick-ups must occur before 3.00pm - students won’t be released after this time and must wait for normal dismissal.
  3. On arrival, parents must sign their child out at the office using the Compass Kiosk.

Thank you for your ongoing support and for working in partnership with us to maintain a positive and focused learning environment for all students.

Student Drop off Time at College

Please be reminded that, for safety and supervision reasons, students are not permitted to be onsite before 8.15am. As part of the school’s duty of care obligations, staff are only rostered to supervise students from 8.15am onward. Arriving earlier means there may be no staff available to ensure students’ safety and wellbeing. We kindly ask families to make appropriate arrangements so that students arrive at or after 8.15am, when supervision officially begins.

Students Leaving

We understand that family circumstances change over time and that students may leave. If you plan on withdrawing your child/children from Christway, please inform the College office at kingston@christway.vic.edu.au. Please note that our enrolment policy requires one term’s written notice prior to a student finishing.
