Library
Students and staff from across the campuses have commented on the success of the Independent Reading program and classroom libraries. The program has encouraged pupils to read from a variety of genres and text types.
In addition to the classroom libraries this term we launched the digital library. Students can browse and borrow from a vast collection of digital and audio books. Pupils can access their eLibrary anywhere, anytime, on multiple devices.
The digital library includes dyslexia friendly settings and audiobooks. It also includes:
- Spoken Translation
- Translation to 150+ languages
- Text to Speech for translated languages
- Sentence structure mark up (nouns, verbs, adjectives etc)
- Simple image depiction of words

Establishing partnerships with local libraries are beneficial. At Bemin we have partnered with Truganina Library Lounge. The Truganina Library Lounge offers library programs for all ages including Rhyme Time, English Conversation, Film Club and Art Lab. It recently opened this month and is only a short stroll from our Junior campus: 1 Everton Road.
For students that are keen writers they are encouraged to enter the writing competition. More details can be found at: Imagination Creation Writing Competition | Wyndham City
Back home, our campus libraries are taking shape, and we continue to be busy processing and cataloguing books and resources for our students and staff. We look forward to keeping you informed with further updates.
Kind regards,
Kristen Barr
