International Program

Assistant Principal - International Student Program
Term 3 may have been short, but it was certainly one of the busiest for our International Student Program. We were delighted to welcome 14 new students to our school community, joining us from Japan, Taiwan, China, Germany, France, and Singapore. Their arrival has brought fresh energy, new friendships, and a rich blend of cultural diversity to our classrooms and school life.
Term 3 began with the always popular City Excursion Day, where students explored some of Melbourne’s most iconic attractions, including the Eureka Skydeck and Queen Victoria Market. For many, it was their first taste of life in our vibrant city, and a great opportunity to connect with peers.
One of the highlights of Term 3 was International Food Day. This event never fails to impress, with staff and students alike showcasing their culinary skills and sharing traditional dishes from around the world. This year, we enjoyed over 60 dishes, representing countries such as China, Vietnam, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Brazil, Korea, and Japan. It was a true celebration of the global spirit that defines our program.
Another standout was our International Student Camp at Phillip Island. While the weather wasn’t always on our side, the activities made it an unforgettable experience. From surfing lessons and spotting whales, dolphins, and seals on a wildlife cruise, to the famous Penguin Parade, go-karting, bowling, and plenty of fish and chips, the camp was filled with fun and adventure.
We also came together to celebrate the birthdays of our international students and farewelled Benedikt Koch (Germany) and Siya Wang (Japan). Both have made a lasting impression, and we know they will go on to achieve great things.
Term 3 has been a wonderful chance to experience new adventures, embrace Australian culture, and strengthen the friendships that make our International Student Program so special. Thank you to the amazing International Student Program staff who make all these events possible.
