Parent Helpers – Join Us in Supporting Our Students

As the school year continues, we are excited to welcome parents back into our learning spaces. When families engage in school life, it strengthens student outcomes—supporting academic growth, improving attendance, increasing motivation, and building positive relationships between home and school.

Becoming a parent helper is a wonderful way to be actively involved in your child’s education, connect with teachers and other families, and contribute meaningfully to our school community.

How Parent Helpers Support Our School

Parent helpers play an important role across a range of activities, including:

  • In the Learning Space: Assisting with learning in Literacy, Maths, STEM, Sport, or Visual Arts.
  • Excursions & Incursions: Supporting students as they engage in learning beyond the classroom
  • Community Engagement: Contributing to the Parents & Friends Committee, fundraising events, stalls, working bees, and more

We understand that families have many commitments, and we truly value any time you can offer—whether it’s an hour a week or a few hours a month. Every contribution makes a difference.

Child Safety Requirements

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, all parent helpers are required to complete a Child Safety Induction. This induction provides important information about maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all children.

As part of our commitment to child safety, all volunteers must also:

  • Hold a current Working with Children Check
  • Complete a Child Safety Volunteer Code of Conduct

The Child Safety Induction will take place early in Term 2. Parents who have previously completed this induction are not required to attend again.

An invitation with further details will be sent out early next term.
