Energy Breakthrough
Energy Breakthrough involves a team of 6 riders and up to 6 pit crew keeping a 3-wheel human powered trike in a 24-hour trial on a street circuit in Maryborough.
To qualify for this, they must successfully pass the two other parts of the process:
Scrutineering in which the students must demonstrate that their designed vehicle passes a safety inspection to ensure it is safe and meets all the design specifications.
Display and Presentation where the team members must demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of their entry, in addition to the sustainability elements.
So there is a lot of learning and team growth leading up to the event in November.
If you think this could be something your child would benefit from participating in, we are looking for team members for a:
- Junior Team
- Mid Team, and
- Senior Team
Please contact Yvonne Benson (Sheehan Wing 2.1) or Leah-anne Reid (ALC office).
Just for fun! Help us raise some funds - Silly socks! $9 a pair.
