Do you have one spare hour a week to become a GEM Mentor??

The GEM (Gippsland Engaged Mentoring) program provides an opportunity for young people who may be ‘at risk’ of disengagement from school or their community to be paired with a local volunteer from East Gippsland. Mentors are matched with a mentee to provide support and conversation for one hour per week participating in activities such as building or repairing something, window shopping, helping a young person with their resume, fishing, or even just taking a walk. You can apply to become a mentor for a young person in our program, and our team provides extensive training and support for volunteers, taking care to match young people with mentors who have similar interests.
