Year 9 Report

Term 3 has been a significant and memorable term for our Year 9 students, filled with opportunities to reflect on their future, make important decisions about their education, and, most importantly, create experiences and memories together.

One of the key focuses of the term has been helping students begin to think seriously about their future pathways. Students participated in Morrisby interviews and course counselling, completing individual one-on-one interviews with careers consultants. This was followed by information evenings and subject selection for the students' Year 10 programs.

The term culminated in the highlight for many students: the Year 9 Camp in the Melbourne CBD. Over three days, 81 students and 9 staff travelled to Melbourne and experienced the city on a jam-packed schedule, seeing a variety of what Melbourne had to offer. Amongst all the sights we experiences, the students took to the Amazing Race. Provided with cryptic clues, students had to work together in teams to decipher the clues and find key locations in the city. Students also visited the Shrine of Remembrance, where we paused to pay our respects and learn about Australia's wartime history and the sacrifices the memorial represents.

On the whole, a fantastic and busy term. We are proud of the way our Year 9 students have embraced the opportunities presented to them and look forward to the final term of the year as they move towards Year 10 and beyond.
