Medical Reminders

Feeling Unwell at School
Just a reminder to families about the process if students are feeling unwell during the school day. We are seeing an increasing number of students contacting parents/guardians directly on their devices to arrange pickup. If your child is feeling unwell, please remind them to come to First Aid first. We can assess them and, if they need to go home, First Aid will contact you to arrange collection. This helps us make sure students are supported and that we know where they are at all times.
Spring Hay Fever & Asthma Reminder
With spring here and pollen counts starting to increase, just a reminder to make sure students with asthma and hay fever are prepared. If your child has asthma, please make sure they bring their own Ventolin inhaler to school and that we have a current Asthma Action Plan on file. Spring also means an increased risk of thunderstorm asthma, particularly on days with high pollen counts and stormy weather. Students with asthma or hay fever may be at greater risk during these conditions.
Keeping Your Details Up to Date
Just a reminder to families to please let the College know if there have been any changes to your contact or student information. This includes home addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, and student health/medical information. It is really important that we have current information on file, particularly if we need to contact you in an emergency. Any changes can be emailed through to koo.wee.rup.sc@education.vic.gov.au.
