Year 8 Report

It has been another positive and busy term for our Year 8 cohort!
Some special acknowledgments
Special congratulations to Oviyaa Kesavan, Eli Daly, Hudson Katz, and Ava Nicholls for their involvement in the College Production. It was fantastic to see our Year 8 students contributing to such an important whole-school event.
We also would like to congratulate our Year 8 Girls Netball Team - Arlow Hallinan, Eva Parker, Bessie Kitchin, Lase De Hey, Kirby Fincham-Turner, Lilly Adams, Tianna Thornhill, and Chelsea Williams - who progressed all the way to the State Championships. While they did not come away with the win, the team was awarded the Spirit Award, as voted by umpires and coaches from other schools. This recognition reflects the outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive attitude the girls demonstrated throughout the day. Well done, girls!
Positive recognition
Across the cohort, we continue to recognise students who consistently demonstrate our College Values, with Values Awards and our focus on reducing lateness to class. These acknowledgments are displayed on a whiteboard outside the Junior School Office. We encourage students to keep demonstrating positive behaviours and making a strong contribution to our Year 8 community.
Lunch-time fun!
We would like to acknowledge the students who consistently represent our college values during recess and lunch times, aligning with our school-wide focus on appropriate interactions in the yard. This includes the students who independently organise games such as basketball and netball, establish fair rules, and work together to ensure everyone can participate and enjoy themselves. Well done!
