Year 7 Report

It has been a term to be proud of for our Year 7 cohort, and these two recent moments capture that perfectly. Congratulations to Naija Tempest, selected for the Victorian High Ability Program in Mathematics, and Mason Murray, selected for the program in English. Being chosen for this program reflects real dedication and academic strength, and we are so pleased to see our youngest cohort represented. Congratulations also to Chloe Shaw and Charlotte Barnes, recognised for their commitment to the Premiers Reading Challenge. Building a love of reading takes persistence, and both girls should be very proud of what they have accomplished.

These individual achievements sit alongside a term where Year 7 as a whole has shown exactly what our school values of Connection, Respect, and Growth look like in action. Students came together to help build the new gaga ball pit in the Year 7 yard, a project that has already become a hub of fun and friendship in the yard. They showed up to support community events, competed with real spirit in sports events, and brought energy and courage to the school musical. Beyond school, many of our Year 7 students have also been wonderful representatives of KWRSC in the wider community.

What has stood out most is how confident this cohort has become in who they are as KWRSC students. They have engaged, contributed and grown, and it shows.

We are so proud of everything Year 7 has achieved this term, and we cannot wait to see what Term 4 brings as they take their next step towards becoming Year 8 students.
