End of Term 3 :
Mathematics
t has been another busy term in the Mathematics Department, with students across all year levels continuing to develop their mathematical knowledge, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Throughout the term, our focus has extended beyond simply finding the correct answer. Students have been encouraged to explain their thinking, make connections between different mathematical concepts and apply their skills to unfamiliar problems. These are important habits that help students become more confident and independent mathematicians.
Earlier in the year some of our students participated in the International Maths Challenge. The IMC measures the cognitive ability in mathematics and quantitative aptitude, the students are competing with students globally with the challenge being offered in 8 languages. A massive congratulations to Jim, Saanvi and Revan who all were determined to be Elitist.

Victorian High Ability Program – Term 3
Congratulations to our students who completed the Victorian High-Ability Program (VHAP) in Mathematics during Term 3.
VHAP provides high-ability students with the opportunity to extend their learning through challenging and engaging online lessons delivered by Virtual School Victoria. Across the program, students worked collaboratively with other high-ability learners from schools across Victoria, developing their knowledge, skills and confidence beyond the regular classroom program.
We are incredibly proud of the commitment and enthusiasm demonstrated by our students throughout the program. Completing VHAP is a significant achievement and reflects their willingness to challenge themselves, embrace new learning opportunities and strive for excellence.
Congratulations to our Term 3 VHAP graduates:
