Assessment Reminders:
Year 7 History: Recently Year 7 finished their first topic “Investigating the Ancient World” which saw them learning all about history skills such as how to interpret sources, using timelines, systems of dating and historical controversies. By far, students reported that their favourite activities were excavating cookies to uncover their hidden artefacts (choc chips). This week Year 7 is starting their new topic, “The Mediterranean World” where they will learn about one of the following ancient civilizations: Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece or Ancient Rome.
Year 9 History: On Monday the 31st of March, Year 9 History students will take part in the WW1 Living History Incursion in the hall during periods 1-2. This presentation is interactive and hands on. Students will have an opportunity to view physical WW1 artefacts and will learn about Australians experiences at War. This incursion should provide students with strong foundations their WW1 unit of work which they have recently started.

Year 10 History: Year 10 are continuing their study of The Holocaust and preparing for their upcoming task in Week 10. Recently, Ms Carter's class completed a brainstorm activity, where they needed to identify a question they still had about the topic. This led to some thoughtful discussion in class.
