Performing Arts

The Instrumental Music, Vocal, Drama and Dance programs are now in full swing, and it has been wonderful to see the growth in our students as they move through their second semester of learning. Across all areas, students are developing new skills, building confidence and embracing performance opportunities with enthusiasm. Their progress, achievements and willingness to challenge themselves continue to shine, and it is a joy to watch their confidence blossom. We look forward to sharing more of their accomplishments and performances throughout the semester.
The vocal group begins each session with scale exercises to develop strong vocal technique before rehearsing their current repertoire. These warm-up activities help students build confidence, improve their pitch accuracy and strengthen their vocal control. Under the guidance of their new vocal tutor, Miss Peters, the group has been working enthusiastically towards an exciting performance. Stay tuned for a special showcase of their talents in the coming weeks!
I am very proud of my woodwind students, who have made excellent progress in developing their articulation skills, allowing them to produce clear notes and use the correct finger positions with confidence. They are also working hard on playing higher notes with a strong, focused embouchure (mouth technique) and are becoming increasingly confident performers. Some of the songs they have been learning are now ready to be shared at assembly. Well done, girls, on your dedication and enthusiasm! 🎶
The Year 3–6 Dance Troupe recently competed in the Albury Dance Competition under the expert guidance of Miss Sam. The girls worked incredibly hard to perfect their routine, demonstrating commitment, teamwork and perseverance throughout their rehearsals. Their dedication was rewarded with an outstanding achievement, earning first place in their category! We are so proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school. Congratulations, girls, on this fantastic success! 🏆💃
