As writers, we have been learning to use adjectives to describe nouns and make our writing more interesting. This week, we focused on using adjectives to describe our mothers. As thinkers, we brainstormed different describing words and used them in sentences to write about the mother figures in our lives. We loved hearing the thoughtful and creative words everyone chose to describe the mums and mother figures.

As researchers, we engaged in an online session with Kids Helpline counsellors to learn about resilience and what that means. We discussed ways to stay positive when things feel challenging, strategies to help us manage big emotions, and who we can go to for support when we need help. As collaborators, we shared thoughtful ideas and participated respectfully throughout the session.

As people of faith, we engaged in our first liturgical singing session with Ms Anna Di Simone. We learnt the song ‘Children of God’ and unpacked the meaning behind the words. This song is all about being part of God’s family, and how he loves us and forgives us no matter what. We are looking forward to our next session!
