Foundation News

We had another fantastic week in Foundation! We were excited to welcome Miss Sargent back from her holiday. The children were thrilled to see her return to the classroom, and she was just as excited to be back, sharing stories and photos from her trip.
On Friday, we enjoyed a wonderful morning with our mums, who joined us in the classroom for activities and a special breakfast. Thank you to everyone who took the time to celebrate with us. We hope you all felt very spoiled on Sunday for Mother’s Day!
In writing, our students spent time reflecting on their amazing mums. They wrote about their favourite things to do together and the reasons they love them. It has been fantastic to see the children using their knowledge of stretching words to sound out a nd write new vocabulary.
As inquirers, we have been exploring the different things we can do at our age as we begin learning about our own personal and family history. We are looking forward to our incursion this week, where we will learn about toys and activities from the past.
Thank you to all our families for engaging with our home learning task. The students will be using these over the coming weeks as we continue our learning in history.
