North West Oztag Secondary School Championships
Congratulations to the four teams who played in the North West Oztag Championships in Tamworth. The teams competed against local Tamworth high school as well as Quirindi High School and Armidale Secondary College. The teams all played well and won most of their games before progressing to the semi-finals. The boys year 11/12 team had a 3-2 loss on the siren in the semi finals and The Year 7/8 and year 9/10 girls made it to the grand final just losing 1-0 and 3-2 respectively against Oxley High School. Well done to the senior girls who won 6-0 against Oxley in the grand final; a fantastic effort. Thank you to Mr Kenniff, Mrs Laird, Mrs Halpin and Jorja Barnett for their outstanding coaching on the day. Both girls teams have now qualified for the NSW Champion of Champions teams who will compete in the State Titles in Sydney on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 September.
