Maths in Surveying Day

On Wednesday 2nd August, five Year 10 students took the opportunity to see Maths in action beyond the classroom. A Maths in Surveying day was held at the Tamworth Astronomy Centre, and students were able to learn basic principles behind surveying techniques, including measuring distances and heights of objects. They had the opportunity to speak directly to people working in the industry and use their equipment.

Congratulations to Ryan Lu, Thomas Drew, Mackenzie Freeman, Tahl Handsley and Jessie Smith for their enthusiastic participation, and to Sam Cox for her organisation of the day.
