Three games were played; The A team played Narre Warren, Mentone Girls Secondary and Frankston High School, they won 2 out of 3 games. The B team won 1 out of 3 games, playing against Koo Wee Rup, Dromana Secondary College and then Frankston High School. Unfortunately, neither of the teams made it to the finals, although everybody still had a fun day.

MORDIALLOC DISTRICT PRIMARY SCHOOL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
VET SPORT & RECREATION
On Monday 22nd August, the Unit 1 & 2 VET Sport & Recreation class hosted the Mordialloc District Primary School Basketball Tournament. We had ten different Primary Schools from the area attend, with most schools bringing two teams. The tournament was held in the Parkdale Secondary College gym.
The VET students were involved in the organisation and preparation of the tournament, and each student had a different role/s on the day. Some students were refs, scorers, in charge of first aid or convened the tournament.
The VET students were able to experience firsthand the operations and logistics of a large scale event, which allowed them to develop their industry skills and knowledge.
The day was a success and I was very proud of our students!
