Research Industries There are around 50 industries you can do an apprenticeship or traineeship in. The Australian Apprenticeships Pathways Research Industries pages will help you learn more about the industries you are interested in, including:
- the size of the industry
- whether apprenticeships and traineeships are common
- some tips on how to get a job in that area.
Start your research here, as it is wise to make a well-researched career decision since we all know what assuming does!

Aviation Australia Pre-Apprenticeship Courses
Aviation Australia's aero skills pre-vocational courses provide the essential training required to begin a career in aircraft maintenance engineering. Their instructors are highly experienced professionals from Commercial and Defense aviation and aerospace industries. Aviation Australia offers:

Thinking about becoming an apprentice in 2024?
The Australian Government provides both financial and non-financial support to Australian Apprentices and their employers throughout their apprenticeship journey. This includes assessing eligibility for support and financial assistance for Australian Apprentices and their employers under the Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System (Incentives System) when the training contract is signed. Full-time apprentices will receive $1,250.00 every six months for the first two years of their apprenticeship ($5,000.00 in total) or half of that for part-time apprentices. You may also be eligible for:
- New Energy Apprentice Support payment
- Living Away from Home Allowances available
- Assistance for Australian Apprentices with a disability
