Winter Uniform Terms 2 and 3

Winter uniform requirements begin at the start of Term 2. I ask all families to work alongside the College in ensuring the students look their best for the start of Term 2 by checking uniform items during the holiday break. In particular, long sleeve grey shirts (Years 5 – 10) or long sleeve blue shirts (Years 11 and 12), tie, grey shorts with long College grey socks, or trousers with dark grey, black, or College bumblebee socks. Please ensure all items are clearly labelled.

Students in Years 5, 11, and 12 will be required to wear their blazer to and from school from the beginning of Term 2.

The Uniform Shop school holiday trading hours will be:

  • Friday 14 April 7:30am to 4:00pm
  • Monday 17 April 7.30am to 4:00pm (parent-teacher interviews)
  • Tuesday 18 April 7:30am to 4:00pm (first day of Term 2)

Term 2 trading hours will resume from Wednesday 19 April (excluding public holidays), being Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Student Wellbeing Survey To conclude Term 1, students have responded to a wellbeing survey during pastoral group time this week. The survey is a tool to gain student voice across several areas of school life that impact students on a regular basis. The survey is designed to provide feedback to pastoral staff in areas such as relationships, student facilities, and uniform.

MaristChef – Year 8

In preparation for Year 9 camp (and beyond), Mr Craig Milligan, Pastoral Leader – Middle School, has invited our Year 8 students to participate in the inaugural "Marist Chef" challenge. During the school holidays, each student is encouraged to prepare one meal for family and friends, take a photo, and submit via the House page on Stile. There will be a winner for each House, who will receive a Red Balloon Gift voucher which can be used towards a cooking class or another exciting activity.

Responsible Thinking Classroom – Parent Notification

As part of the College’s student management, teachers will make use of the Responsible Thinking Process including the Responsible Thinking Classroom (RTC) when students are removed from class, sent to the RTC, giving time out to reflect on their behaviour.

The room provides a place for students to reflect on problematic behaviour and develop a plan to move forward in a positive way, and for classroom re-entry when applicable.

The process assists a student to reflect on their behaviour, search within and make choices about their behaviour to reach their learning goals without disrupting others.

When students are removed from class to the RTC, parents will receive a notification through Parent Lounge.
