Parkdale's Spirit of Christmas

Parkdale’s Spirit of Christmas

The Spirit of Christmas has truly come alive at Parkdale Secondary College in Term 4. We would like to acknowledge the school community for their contributions of bon-bons for our yearly charity drive. We managed to reach our goal of 200 packets of bon-bons on the final day of collection!

The spirit was carried to another level on Thursday 8th December, when around 60 members of staff, students and families gathered to build the 200 Christmas hampers at Kingston City Church. The assembly line hummed with goodwill and a festive spirit and we managed to have the hampers packed in an hour!

A huge thanks must go out to our Year 9, 2022 students who were responsible for the bon-bon count throughout Term 4 (Ashlee Laxton, Zahara Duri, Emily Hill, Emma Jackman, Hannah Birch, Hana-Joy Ly and Shelli Daniel). We would also like to acknowledge parent, Catherine Aylen, who donated four enormous boxes of Lindt Chocolate. We were able to make 200 bags of chocolate for the hampers with this donation!

The hampers were presented to the 200 families on Sunday 11th December and we are thrilled to know that 200 families will now be able to enjoy a day with their families, with a full belly of food!

Wishing our school community a safe and festive break with family and friends.
