Student in the Spotlight: Emily Hill

Emily Hill (9J in 2022) did something very special recently. In the Hill family, they have taken the Barefoot Investor approach with the family. When completing chores, their pocket money is spread across three jars: Save, Spend and Give. They each work in the following ways:

Spend: Right then and there

Save: For a house, car, or something big 

Give: Donating to a charity or good cause

The family mantra has always been ‘Be good, try hard and give back’. Emily made the amazing decision to donate her $200 ‘Give’ money to our partner charity, Kington City Church. As pictured, Pastor Joy recently visited the College to accept Emily’s donation.
