Year 7 STEP

Our Year 7 Steppers have had a great year!  This term they have been doing rotations with Dissection, Forensics and Robotics.

Well done to our joint winners for the Robotics War competitions: Max Wadeson, Archer Dearling and Liam Polites from group 3 and Marcus O’meara-Hayes and Luca Ivanov from groups 1 and 2.

Year 8 CODING

Well done to our Year 8 Coders, they have done a brilliant job creating codes, games and quizzes as well as coding their Edison robots to fight it out in the Sumo Wrestling competition!

Well done to Nathan Bird and Joshua O’Connor, who won the overall Coding competition.  It was a fierce competition, well done to all involved.

F1 State 

Massive congratulations to our STEP F1 State finalist, teams Thunder Horse and RUSH.

The competition was held over two days, where they had to present their portfolio, trade booth, and had various interviews with industry leaders and engineers being grilled about the design and aerodynamics of their cars as well as the very important races down the 25 m track!

They came 9th and 10th overall in the state!

Congratulations also go to Team RUSH winning the awards for Outstanding Industry Collaboration and Best Reaction Time – well done Max Fitzgerald with his time of 0.144 seconds!!!

Well done everyone!  All that hard work has paid off 

Our special thanks goes to Mr Van Weeghel who has guided these teams to be competition ready, and Mr Loxham who accompanied and supported them for the competition.
