Photography and Digital Media

Year 9 Photography and Digital Media students have been working in conjunction with Miss Hazelwood’s Food Technology students to dress and photograph the recipes they have created. Food photography is a contemporary movement which has taken over and is used in food advertising and in cooking shows such as Masterchef. The topic engages the students in a relevant and real-world scenario as a part of their learning.

Year 10 students are well on the way in the production of their collaborative film making. Following a workshop at the end of Term 2, students have developed scripts, taken a variety of footage using a range of camera angles to build interest and adopt techniques used in the film industry. Students will be screening their short films in the coming weeks, some hope to enter their short film in the Nextwave Film Competition.
