Year 8 Report

Year 8 - Year in Review

I’m Mason, and I was one of the Year 8 Level Leaders for 2025. This year, the Year 8s had a brand-new locker bay, which was super exciting. In Term 2, we went to Bayview Adventure Camp in Grantville, where we took part in lots of fun activities and showed our very best behaviour. We also welcomed our new and very supportive Year 8 Leader, Mr Burrows, who has already made a great impact on our school and Year 8 community (sorry, sir!).

A lot of Year 8 students also competed in sports throughout the year, achieving some amazing results. Our Year 8 Girls Netball Team, Year 8 Boys Volleyball Team, and Year 8 Boys Basketball Team all made it to Regionals, and our Year 8 Boys Netball Team even made it to State! On September 16th, we recognised R U OK? Day, where a few Year 8 Leaders helped run activities like cup stacking and bracelet making. Some Year 8 students also took part in the Battle of the Bands at the Cardinia Cultural Centre, with our school winning the Best Overall School Award—a remarkable achievement for everyone involved.

Finally, our Year 8 Celebration Day is coming up at Melbourne Cable Park. We’re all excited to finish the year by enjoying the inflatable water course and the high ropes course. It’s going to be a great way to celebrate everything we’ve accomplished this year.

That concludes my Year 8 Reflection for 2025.
