Year 12 Report

College Vice Captains
2025 has been an incredibly rewarding year for all students, especially those involved in the SRC and for us as College Vice Captains. We have taken great pride in representing the College at a range of events, including the ANZAC Day March in the city, the Melbourne Secondary Youth Leadership Conference, and our College Open Nights. Each of these experiences has allowed us to grow as leaders, meet new people, and proudly represent our school community.
Throughout the year, we’ve also been involved in many student-focused events such as the Year 12 Formal, the Big Freeze Fundraiser, Harmony Day, the Year 11 Debutante Ball, and various Year Level Assemblies. It has been so rewarding to see these occasions bring students together and foster such a positive, inclusive atmosphere across the College. Whether it was helping to organise fundraisers, presenting speeches, or contributing to important decisions, we’ve valued every opportunity to be part of it.

College Captains
As the 2025 College Captains, we have been fortunate to experience many opportunities that broadened our understanding of both our school and the wider community. Participating in events such as the ANZAC Day march, attending School Council meetings, speaking at the Debutante Ball, and representing the College at various community gatherings have been among the highlights of our year.
We feel incredibly lucky to have been part of such an amazing leadership team and to have worked alongside inspiring individuals—students, teachers, and community members alike. Engaging with students across all year levels and being involved in different areas of the school has been a privilege. It has also allowed us to demonstrate to the broader community the values we uphold at Koo Wee Rup Secondary College. Serving as College Captains has been a journey filled with growth and confidence-building. While there were challenges, each one taught us something important and helped shape us into stronger leaders.
This year has taught us so much about leadership, teamwork, and the importance of balance. We are incredibly grateful for every opportunity that has come our way. The lessons we have learned will stay with us long after we leave school. It has truly been an amazing year, and we are proud and honoured to have served as the 2025 College Captains.
