A Reflection on a Successful 2025

As we reflect on another successful year at our college, 2025 has been a period of purposeful growth, strengthened practice, and outstanding achievement across our school community. Through a shared commitment to improvement, we have continued to build a learning environment that supports every student in reaching their full potential.

A key highlight of this year has been the further implementation of School-Wide Positive Behaviour practices and routines. Our collective focus on consistency, clarity, and high expectations has helped shape a calm and predictable school climate. Students are increasingly demonstrating positive behaviours and a sense of belonging across classrooms. These efforts have not only enhanced daily school life but also contributed to improved learning outcomes.

This year also marked a significant milestone in our instructional approach with the evolution of our pedagogical model into the Explicit Teaching Model. Staff have embraced evidence-based practices that promote clarity, structured learning sequences, and purposeful assessment. This shift has ensured that students benefit from high-quality teaching aligned with the latest research, creating classrooms where learning is visible, targeted, and engaging.

Our commitment to excellence has been reflected in the outstanding results achieved across multiple measures. Students delivered excellent NAPLAN outcomes, demonstrating growth across the literacy and numeracy domains. Equally impressive are the results from the Attitude to School Survey, where students reported strong engagement and confidence in their learning environment. Positive feedback from our Parent Opinion Survey reinforced the trust and partnership between families and the college. At the same time, the Staff Opinion Survey highlighted a cohesive, motivated, and professional workforce dedicated to continuous improvement.

As we celebrate this year’s achievements, I look forward to building on this momentum as we enter a new year of opportunity and growth.

I hope that all families have a safe and restful break, and I look forward to seeing you in 2026.
