Awards Evening

Celebrating Student Excellence at our Annual Awards Evening
Koo Wee Rup Secondary College recently hosted our annual Awards Evening, celebrating the outstanding achievements, growth, and commitment of students across Years 7 to 12. It was a wonderful occasion that highlighted not only academic excellence, but also the values, leadership and community spirit that define our college. Throughout the evening, students were recognised for Academic Achievement, Values Awards (Connection, Respect and Growth), and a wide range of special scholarships and learning area awards. From Year 7 through to Year 12, it was fantastic to see students acknowledged for their dedication, perseverance, and consistent effort in their learning journeys. The evening also celebrated excellence beyond the classroom, with awards recognising Leadership, Performing Arts, Sport, Hands-on Learning, School-based Apprenticeships, SRC involvement, and pathways-focused Awards.
These awards reflect the diverse talents of our students and the many ways they contribute positively to our school community.
A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of several prestigious external scholarships and community awards, including those supported by:
- Rotary Club
- Lions Club
- Bendigo Bank
- Men’s Shed
- Westernport Bus Lines
- Australian Defence Force
- Leonie McGinley Scholarship
We sincerely thank these organisations for their ongoing generosity and support of our students. Their partnerships play a vital role in encouraging aspiration, recognising excellence, and supporting students to pursue future opportunities.
We extend our congratulations to all award recipients and thank the staff, families, and community members who joined us to celebrate these achievements. It was truly heartening to see our students recognised for their hard work, our Values and commitment to excellence. This celebration was a reminder of the incredibly diverse talent within Koo Wee Rup Secondary College and the strong community that surrounds and supports our students.
We look forward to seeing our award recipients continue to grow and succeed in the years ahead.
