Wellbeing Moments

Welcome to our Wellbeing Moment: a chance to pause for a minute and reflect on something small but important. There’s nothing you need to do – just take from it whatever feels useful to you.
This week’s focus is Effort.
Effort is one of the few things in life you can always control.
- You can’t always control:
- Results
- Other people
- How things turn out
But you can control whether you try.
Effort doesn’t mean being the best. It means being willing to have a go, even when things feel hard, boring or don’t go your way straight away.
It might look like:
- Trying in class when you’d rather switch off
- Turning up when you don’t feel like it
- Finishing something you started
- Giving something another go after a setback
Over time, effort builds something important: self-respect.
And if you ever want someone to talk to, you’re always welcome to check in with your Head of Year or our College Psychologists.
