After-School Detention Procedure

It has come to our attention that there is a need to consolidate and provide greater consistency across some of our procedures, including the planning, scheduling and implementation of after-school detentions. Moving forward, Thursday afternoon will be the preferred day and time for after-school detentions to be administered. These will take place in the Library from 3:15pm to 4:00pm.

Students will be required to complete a personal reflection and take it home to be signed by a parent, before returning it to their Head of Year or the Head of Learning Area who determined that the detention was required.

Please note that an after-school detention is seen as an escalation from a lunchtime detention. As such, requests to complete multiple lunchtime detentions in place of an after-school detention will not be considered.
