VET / Workplace Learning

Our Year 11 and 12 General students are currently preparing for their upcoming two-week Workplace Learning placements. These placements provide valuable hands-on experience in industries that interest them and allow students to explore potential career pathways before making important decisions regarding apprenticeships, further study or full-time employment.

I look forward to visiting many of our students on-site over the coming weeks and seeing the wonderful opportunities in which they are involved.

A reminder to all students that SmartMove modules must be completed prior to attending Workplace Learning placements.

Apprenticeship Programs 2027

Many large companies have now opened applications for their 2027 Apprenticeship Programs. One of the best ways for students to stay informed about opportunities is by creating a SEEK profile, which provides regular updates on available positions.

This week, companies such as WesTrac and Hitachi have opened applications. All Year 12 students have been provided with resume and cover letter templates to support their applications, and students are encouraged to seek assistance if needed.
