WELLBEING

As we wrap up Term 2, we'd like to share some of the wellbeing activities and programs our students have been involved in.

Our Year 8 students took part in the Backflips Against Bullying program, which engages students with parkour and acrobatics and explores ways to build positive relationships and support peers.

A small group of Year 9 students participated and completed the Change Makers Program, which empowers young people by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to live safe lives free from violence and other harmful behaviours. It was great to see students stepping up and sharing their voices.

Throughout the term, Year 8 students involved in the Raise Mentoring Program met regularly with their mentors to build confidence and strengthen their resilience. The positive relationships formed through this program continue to make a meaningful difference for our students.

Year 10 students engaged in the Let's Talk Respect program, exploring topics such as healthy relationships, communication, consent, and respect.

Students in Years 7 and 8 participated in our small group Social Skills Program, where they worked on communication, teamwork, and friendship skills.

This term we recognised IDAHOBIT Day and celebrated the importance of inclusion, acceptance, and belonging. Students were invited to wear a splash of rainbow, and we ran a voluntary event for students who chose to participate during the breaks.

Glitter Group has continued to be a welcoming and inclusive space where students can connect, have fun, and celebrate diversity. Thank you to all the students who have helped make the group such a positive and supportive community.

Our Mario Kart lunchtime sessions have been a hit this term. These sessions provided a fun opportunity for students to relax, connect with others, and enjoy some friendly competition.

We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing break, and we look forward to seeing you next term,

Elise, Tania, Vanessa and Shaun
