Student Achievements

Congratulations to the following students
Lucy Byrne (Year 7), Sophie Cubit (Year 6), Eva Johnston (Year 7) and Rita van Loon (Year 6), who have been selected to take part in the 13&U Water Polo Development Competition, beginning this Thursday in Hobart. For these students, this carnival marks their first experience representing Tasmania on the national stage – an achievement to be extremely proud of! We wish Lucy, Sophie, Eva and Rita every success throughout the tournament.

Staff Achievements
We are excited to congratulate Year 3 Gumnuts Teacher, Miss Holly Gilbar, who is currently in Darwin coaching the Tasmanian U18s Hockey Team at the National Hockey Championships. This is an outstanding achievement and a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the development of young Tasmanian athletes. We hope she enjoys the experience – and brings the sunshine back home with her!
We love celebrating the achievements of our students! Share your stories and photos with us at stmarys@smc.tas.edu.au, and your child’s success will be featured in an upcoming edition of The Fountain newsletter.
