Loving God,

As we reach the end of this term, we give you thanks for all we have shared.

For learning and laughter, friendship and growth.

We are grateful for the ways we have seen your love in one another,

Reminded that each of us is wonderfully made in your image.

This term has been a special time of faith for our community.

We thank you for those who have celebrated First Reconciliation,

Experiencing your mercy and forgiveness,

And for those who have been strengthened through Confirmation,

Filled with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Bless our students, staff, and families as we rest this holiday break.

Keep us safe, renew our energy, and draw us closer to you and to one another.

May we return next term refreshed,

Ready to continue walking in faith, hope, and love.

Reflecting on a wonderful first half of the year 

As Term 2 draws to a close, it is an opportune time to pause and reflect on what has been a vibrant, rewarding and highly successful first half of the year. Across our school community, there is much to celebrate and be grateful for.

Throughout Semester 1, our students have demonstrated enthusiasm, resilience and a genuine commitment to learning, service and personal growth. They have conducted themselves with remarkable grace, integrity and compassion, bringing the enduring values and legacy of the Presentation Sisters to life in their everyday actions. Whether in the classroom, on the sporting field, through faith formation opportunities or in service to others, our students have embraced each experience with positivity and purpose. Their willingness to support one another and contribute meaningfully to our community continues to be a source of great pride.

This term has provided many memorable highlights. We have seen students represent the school with pride at ANZAC Day commemorations, participate enthusiastically in sporting carnivals and SATIS competitions, support the Vinnies Winter Appeal, engage in Pillars experiences and enjoy the spirit and camaraderie of House Week celebrations.

I would also like to acknowledge several outstanding achievements from the past fortnight. Congratulations to our Year 11 and 12 Drama and Theatre Performance students for their exceptional productions of Garage Girls and The Deplorables. Their talent, creativity and dedication were evident in every aspect of the performances, resulting in two highly engaging productions.

Congratulations also to our Junior Choir students who performed beautifully at the Festival of Voices this week, and to the students who delivered energetic and highly entertaining dance performances at last week’s whole-school assembly. We wish these students every success as they prepare for the Southern Tasmanian Dance Eisteddfod this Thursday, along with our Senior Dance students who will also be showcasing their talents.

The conclusion of a semester provides a valuable opportunity for reflection. While reports offer an important snapshot of academic progress, they tell only part of each student's story. Growth in confidence, resilience, character, relationships and community contribution is equally significant. Over the holiday break, we encourage families to celebrate the successes, challenges overcome and personal milestones reached during the first half of the year, while also discussing aspirations and goals for Semester 2.

Finally, I extend thanks to Mrs Lisa Herd, for her professionalism and leadership as Acting Deputy Principal. Your support and commitment to our school community have been greatly appreciated. I would also like to express my thanks to our staff, students, parents and carers for their commitment, care and partnership throughout Term 2. Together, you create a vibrant, welcoming and hope-filled community where young people are encouraged to thrive and flourish.

I wish all families a safe, restful and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to welcoming students back refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning and growth.
