Junior Performing Arts

Year 5 Concert Band | Term 2 project

This term, Year 5 Concert Band students worked in small ensembles to prepare a group performance. They formed their own groups, chose their own piece and spent the term rehearsing together before presenting to their classmates in St Peter's Hall last week.

This project built on the skills developed in Term 1 as students began learning their new instruments. Students continued working on new notes and rhythms, refining their tone and building confidence.

An important focus of this project was learning how to work collaboratively in a small group. Students worked on practising their parts, listening to one another and supporting each other through peer feedback and rehearsal workshopping.

We are proud of the effort and progress shown by all students this term!

Year 9/10 Drama 

Lights, camera, collaboration!

Year 9 and 10 Drama students have been exploring the world of short film and recently had the exciting opportunity to work alongside local award-winning industry professional, Ally Stanton-Cook. Together, they have been developing and filming their own original pieces. 

We are incredibly grateful for the time, expertise and creativity Ally has shared with our students, and we look forward to seeing the final films come to life.
