VCE Theatre Studies 

This term, the VCE Theatre Studies class has been diligently crafting their rendition of "The Wizard of Oz," scheduled for a mid-May debut. 

With students passionately working on set design, costumes, blocking, as well as choreographing dances, the production is steadily taking shape. Notably, the assistance of Year 11 and 12 VCE-VM students has been invaluable, with their contributions to building structures under the guidance of dedicated staff members. The collective enthusiasm, initiative and vitality of the students has been incredible, as they strive to transform the script into a captivating performance. Anticipation mounts as we eagerly await the unfolding of next term's creative journey from page to stage.

Year 9 Drama  

Throughout this term, Year 9 Drama has been deeply engaged in exploring physical theatre and delving into the intricacies of Greek theatre. They've delved into traditional Greek theatre scripts and concepts, actively applying the conventions and ideas they've encountered in class. Presently, they're in the process of crafting their rendition of "Medea" for their upcoming assessment next term. The students have demonstrated unwavering dedication and have recently commenced the creative process within our Performing Arts Centre, integrating elements of sound and lighting into their devised performance.

College Production 

We're thrilled to announce the kick-off of rehearsals for our eagerly anticipated whole school production of Matilda JR! Our journey has commenced with diving into music, focusing on mastering harmonies in key numbers, and initiating the choreography for the grand ensemble pieces. Witnessing the students' incredible teamwork and warm welcome to new members has been truly inspiring. The invaluable support from our senior students, particularly in fostering inclusivity, has been nothing short of remarkable. With each passing day, we foresee the production flourishing as we further refine this spectacular endeavour. Brace yourselves for an extraordinary journey ahead!
