Year 8

Over the last couple of weeks in SELF we have been learning about leadership. We have learned what qualities a leader needs and should have.  We were split into groups during these lessons, and we had to work as a team to make a tower out of three cups, three plates, pegs and tape. The point of this was to see if we could communicate with the team effectively and use teamwork to be successful in this task. We have also been set a task that allows us to practice our leaderships skills through leading an activity of our choice. What our SELF teacher is looking for in these activities is our effective communication with each other and to see if we could work as a team. We participated in a democratic approach in voting for our classroom leader.  We have chosen our leaders for each Year 8 class.  It will be announced next term.
