WHOLE SCHOOL SWIMMING CARNIVAL
On 4th of March LHC had its whole school swimming carnival! Melbourne really turned on the weather and students had a great day enjoying the sun and competing in novelty events and swimming races. It was great to see so much participation across all houses and hear the encouragement from students and staff. We had our annual dress up competition where students from all houses walked around the pools and were judged on who had the best outfit. Prizes were given out to those who were best dressed. Well done to all who dressed up and showed the house colours spirit! The day ended with relays and the announcement of who won the day overall. Congratulations to Yarra House who won the day and to all the age group champs. It was a fun filled day where students could have a break from learning and the whole College could come together to enjoy the day!

YEAR 7 VOLLEYBALL
Year 7 Volleyball was an absolute blast!
Two boys teams and three girls teams represented the College on 21st March at interschool sports. We came away with a girls team undefeated and winning their final!! All students displayed respect, responsibility and excellence. We are very proud of their efforts and the encouragement that was shown throughout the day of endurance!

SWIMMING - YARRA DIVISION DAY
A very cold, but fantastic day was had by our swim team. We went along to Croydon Outdoor Pool for the next round of the swimming champs. We took nine students and they all swam extremely well; they all earned a podium place in at least one of their events. Their resilience and determination showed through. It was such a pleasing surprise to hear the announcers giving the scores after the individual events; Lilydale Heights College was in 4th place out of eight schools.
Amelie T.M. finished first in all of her events and took three new records - 200m Individual Medley, 50m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle. Ivan L. also won his events and gained a new record in his 50m Freestyle, alongside Bonnie S. These three students progress through to the next round - Congratulations. Our other members of the team finished 2nd and 3rd in their events; Ryder H., Steven H., Henry S., Gordon K. and our new Year 7 Paige S.
It is always a pleasure to take our students out to the sporting events - well done!
