Senior Students Explore Legal Careers at Allens Law Firm
A group of year 10 and 11 students recently visited Allens law firm in the city to take part in the Allens Spark Initiative—a program designed to inspire and inform young people about pathways into the legal and commercial careers. For many, this experience offered a first look into the corporate world and the possibilities it holds.
During the visit, students participated in speed networking with a range of legal and corporate professionals, where students learned about different career journeys and practised valuable networking skills. Which was followed by an office tour, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at life inside a state of the art commercial law firm.
We are proud of our students for engaging so positively in this experience and grateful to Allens for offering such a valuable program that broadens horizons and creates pathways for the next generation of leaders. Also thank you to Mr. Byers for organising such a fantastic event for our students.

Omar, Year 11

Abdul Rahman, Year 11

Hamayle, Year 11
“The Allens Spark Careers Insight Program provided me with a deeper understanding of how civil law operates in practice. I learned that a law firm is not solely comprised of lawyers, but also includes technology specialists, media professionals, and public relations experts who all play integral roles. This highlighted to me that civil law is a diverse and multifaceted field, offering a wide range of pathways for undergraduates. The program also reshaped my perspective of law firms. I was particularly impressed by the firm’s culture, where employees valued a healthy balance between work and personal life, demonstrating that success in is in law does not require being occupied 24/7. Overall, I would strongly recommend the Allens Spark program to anyone seeking a meaningful insight into the many career opportunities within civil law and the supportive, dynamic environment of a leading law firm."
