Year 7 STEM Excursion

Our Year 7 students recently visited the STEM Centre of Excellence (SCOE) for a day of hands-on learning and exploration. Students participated in several workshops, including Sustainable Communities and Fire Practice - the latter led by two Indigenous facilitators who shared First Nations knowledge systems and traditional fire management practices used to care for Country.

The excursion also included a visit to the Potter Museum of Art for 65,000 Years: A Short History of Australian Art, where students responded thoughtfully to the artworks on display. Throughout the day, students collaborated enthusiastically during the sustainability gameshow and demonstrate curiosity, teamwork, and respect for different perspectives.
